Due to current high fuel prices the garden is apt entertainment for now

​​​​​​​Every winter the same hummingbird returns to the back garden and feeds of insects, they spend their summer in Wyoming 1200 miles away where the nectar is rich and abundant.
Barely noticeable being only 3.5 -13cm in length and weighing between 18-24 grams.

Beating wings are anywhere between 12 to 80 beats per second depending the  360 different species world wide, they have a dive speed of 50mph.
Grapevines growing on the fence, it's a rainy and windy morning. Taken from the breakfast table, moments of equanimity.
Ferociously orange with fierce prophetic, their filigree of petals mimic the palm trees blowing across the street.
